In order to make a successful visa application, you need to supply the correct paperwork/documents on time.
This is not as easy is it sounds under the current system, since the requirements vary from case to case.
Each application should be considered unique and that there is no one formula that applies "to everyone".

EU nationals

Now that the Czech Republic is in the Schengen zone EU citizens do not need a visa to visit the Czech Republic.

Third country nationals (Non EU)

In order to be self employed in the Czech Republic you need to have a trade license.
A trade license is called a  Živnostenský List.

This site gives you a basic guide to how the živnostenský system works. Where you can find the úřads, what trades are considered qualified or unqualified and so on.

The site was only meant to be a couple of pages, explaining the Živnostenský List system. Two hundred pages later....
